Common Name: Cuban Belly Palm

Description: Synonym: Gastrococos crispa. Solitary, feather-leafed, palm with bulbous trunk. Trunks to 24 inches thick at bulge. Trunks and leaves spiny. Overall height to 45 feet with 15 foot spread.
Requirements: Grows well in alkaline to slightly acidic soils. Growth rate slow. Tolerates some cold into high 20s. Not salt tolerant.
